Music 4 Maryland Announces Art Guitars Auction and Concert at
Ram’s Head Live! Nov. 13
Pat McGee, the Paul Reed Smith Band to headline performance; auction of custom decorated PRS Guitars will follow the concert.
Baltimore, MD (August 31, 2010) – Music 4 More, Inc. today announced the 2010 Art Guitars Auction and Concert will take place Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Rams Head Live! in downtown Baltimore. The Pat McGee Band and The Paul Reed Smith Band are performing; additional bands will be announced within the next few weeks.
This unique event will also feature a live auction of 30 “art guitars” that were designed by local celebrities and artists, who have hand‐decorated PRS guitars from Kent Island’s internationally‐renowned luthier Paul Reed Smith. The guitars will be auctioned to benefit Music 4 Maryland, a project of Music 4 More, a 501(c)3 charity. Music 4 More’s mission is to provide financial and in‐kind resources to sustain and foster under‐funded music programs in schools and communities across the United States.
Tickets are $20 for General Admission; VIP tickets are $40, and include a meet & greet with Pat McGee as well as a private preview of the guitars on display. Tickets are on sale at www.ramsheadlive.com.
Music 4 More will use the proceeds to purchase instruments, repairs and supplies for music programs in Maryland schools. Music 4 More founder Deidra Stevens explains, “We strive to make music education available to all children with the belief that through music education, students become well‐rounded, emotionally and intellectually mature adults. By maintaining a support system for these programs, Music 4 More helps to contribute to a brighter future for our society.”
About the Musicians:
The Pat McGee Band is one of the most successful touring bands nationwide, bringing original melodic rock, trademark rich harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, strong musicianship and energy to shows that are flat‐out fun. Over the last fourteen years, the band has built a strong, nationwide fan base, and has been billed with major artists such as Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett, Counting Crows, Blues Traveler, and James Taylor.
The Paul Reed Smith Band is guitar maven Paul Reed Smith’s international touring band. The band performs and records music showcasing the dynamic talents of its seasoned, high‐caliber musicians. The band has played to audiences in Canada, Japan, China, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and England. They have performed throughout the US at music industry events, tradeshows, music stores and nightclubs for customers, artists, music industry peers and fans.
