Music 4 Maryland is a Music 4 More program to help make a difference in the ailing music programs in Maryland schools.
2011:
Music 4 More continues to work with local schools to supply instruments to their classrooms. In the fall of 2011, Music 4 Maryland will host a fundrasier at The Metro Gallery on 10/21. Music 4 More will be also be soft launching it's Music4YourClassroom.org , a webtool for teachers to create their wishlists for their music classroom needs. (Est. launch date Nov. 1)
2010 Project:
2010 marks the 25th Anniversary of PRS Guitars, a Maryland based company and a leading manufacturer of high-quality instruments in Stevensville, Maryland. They have been providing some of the world’s most renowned guitarists with instruments since 1985.
In September, 30 exciting new works of art will be proudly unveiled throughout the state of Maryland: custom designed electric guitars from Kent Island’s internationally-renowned luthier Paul Reed Smith. Each guitar will be individually decorated by noted local artists and musicians then placed on display at high-visibility locations throughout the Free State, and all are available for corporate and individual sponsorship.
At the end of the showing, each guitar will be sold at auction, with proceeds from the auction and program sponsorships to be used to purchase instruments and supplies for music programs in our schools and community organizations throughout the state of Maryland.
